It's all keeping me busy

As part of the project I can't really blog about yet I've been hunting for handspun yarns to photograph. Many end up in completed articles so it was nice to find these few skeins of blended alpaca with silk and wool. Now all I want to do is start knitting or crocheting with them.
I did find some time today to do a little bit of fibre combing on the deck today as a break from the computer work which is keeping me indoors. The best place to attach the combs because I didn't want to hunt for a firm table was our wooden deck seat which is surprisingly heavy having a lot of wood in it. reminds me that we'll need to re-oil the chairs again.
Then got the Ashford joy out for a little camel spinning. This is adult camel top in ....well.... camel colour of course. It is quite hairy and strong fibre. I have a little baby camel fibre too which will be an interesting comparison. Spins very easily and is very clean so no waste which is fortunate since I had to import it from North America. No fibre bearing camels in North Otago sadly.
